  1. Only skate if you are well
Do not skate if you feel unwell (for example sickness, diarrhoea, fever, bad cough, dizziness) or if a medical condition or pregnancy means you’ve been advised to avoid falls or impact.

  2. PPE: if you’re not confident, don’t skate without it
Helmets, gloves and pads are strongly recommended for everyone, especially children and beginners. If you are not confident in your own or your child’s skating ability and do not have suitable PPE, you should not skate.

  3. Children must be supervised at all times
Parents and guardians are responsible for the behaviour and safety of children and vulnerable users. Children under 8 must be accompanied by a responsible adult in the rink area. Do not carry babies or children on the rink, including in arms or carriers.

  4. Family skating only – no tricks or games
This is a small family rink. No speed skating, hockey, sticks, pucks, balls, games, jumps, spins or other tricks during public sessions.

  5. Skate in one direction and be considerate
Skate in the same direction as everyone else and don’t cut across the middle or skate against the flow. Give space to beginners and children, and no pushing, barging, tripping or chasing.

  6. Skates only on the rink surface
Only ice skates are allowed on the synthetic panels. No shoes, boots, bare feet, scooters, pushchairs, wheelchairs or mobility aids on the rink itself. Make sure skates are properly fitted and done up; ask staff for help if you’re unsure.

  7. No food, drink, phones or headphones while skating
To avoid spills and distractions there is no food, drink, chewing gum, glass, phones, cameras or headphones on the rink. Photos are welcome from the side, not while skating.

  8. Follow staff instructions, timings and capacity limits
Staff manage numbers on the rink and may pause entry or ask skaters to take turns. Sessions are timed – please leave the rink promptly when asked and always follow staff instructions, especially about safety or emergencies.

  9. If you fall or there is an incident
If you fall and are able, get up carefully and move towards the side. If you can’t, stay where you are and raise an arm so staff can help. Report all accidents, near misses or equipment problems to staff straight away.

  10. No dogs or pets in or around the rink
Pets (including dogs) are not allowed on the rink, in the changing area or around the barriers and viewing area.
