Liners - Young Plants
Our liners are available in varying quantities throughout the year. We may have limited numbers of other plants not listed so feel free to enquire. All liners are grown in 9cm round black pots in our own mixes of compost containing Vi-nil granules , with the exception of Buxus which naturally deters vine weevil. We supply liners in marketing trays : 20 of any one variety per tray. We can supply less than twenty plants of one variety per tray in which case there will be an additional cost of 10p per plant.

Delivery
We can arrange delivery on Danish Trolleys or locally via our own transport, at cost. For consignments of larger plants it may be more cost effective to hire a lorry. Any packaging apart from marketing trays, is charged at cost.
Labels and Presentation
In order that your plants are instantly ready for retail sale we can label them individually to your requirements, at a cost of 10p each. Our laser printed labels have a minimum 2 year lifespan and can include a price , your name and phone number or address. In most cases they have a colour photo on the label. If not , for some varieties we can also offer a colour picture label FREE with the laser label. Presentation is paramount to ensure the plants look their best and help increase those impulse buys. Given enough time we endeavour to valet all forward orders so your plants arrive in the public eye ready to be snapped up! Our staff take great care in selecting the best plants for you and make sure they are clean and pest free. When possible we use leafshine on our Phormiums and take off all unsightly faded leaves. Where necessary taller plants are supplied caned and tied.
Orders , Terms and Conditions
Orders are accepted subject to availability, crop failure or shortages however caused. We have a minimum order requirement of £100 ex VAT Any prices quoted are ex nursery for the quantities stated and exclusive of V.A.T. which will be added at the current rate at date of invoice. Plant heights are approximate and measured from the top of the pot. Orders not collected within 14 days of an agreed date may be resold unless special arrangements are made. We reserve the right to impose a charge for cancellation of an order. Whilst we make every effort to ensure the quality and correct description of our stock, our liability is restricted to the replacement of plants supplied , or a refund of the price paid. Any complaint must be notified within 3 days of receiving the plants and confirmed in writing within 7 working days. The Risk in the plants will pass to the customer on collection or delivery, but the Title remains with Shallowmead Nurseries Ltd until full payment has been received. We reserve the right to amend prices.
Payment
Payment must be made by cheque, BACS or cash, on collection or prior to delivery. For orders over £300 there will be a 2.5% discount if payment is received prior to or at time of collection. Approved accounts are due for settlement within 30 days of date of invoice.
Overdue accounts will be subject to a credit surcharge of 2.5% per month. New customers wishing to open an account should request a credit application form.
